Supporting you to live the life you choose.
NUM1 Supported Care offers care and support to adults who live with a Learning Disability and/or Autism, including people with Additional Needs.
We support and encourage people to continue living in a home environment, providing the extra help and support they may need.
Support built around the individual.
Every person is different. Support is tailored to each person rather than expecting people to fit around the service.
We take time to understand each person’s abilities, needs, communication, relationships, culture, interests and aspirations.
Care and support based on individual needs.
Learning Disabilities
NUM1 Supported Care supports adults with mild to moderate Learning Disabilities.
Support is based on the person’s individual abilities, needs and desired outcomes, with a focus on developing skills, confidence, choice and independence.
Autism
NUM1 Supported Care supports adults who live with Autism where their individual needs can appropriately be met within our supported living service.
Support considers communication, sensory needs, routines, emotional regulation and individual preferences.
Additional Needs
People may have Additional Needs alongside a Learning Disability and/or Autism.
This may include communication needs, emotional regulation, physical or mobility needs, behaviours that may be deemed challenging, health and wellbeing needs, medication support and personal care.
Support shaped around the person.
A Learning Disability, Autism or an Additional Need is only one part of someone’s life.
We look at the whole person: their strengths, abilities, communication, culture, identity, family, relationships, experiences, interests and ambitions.
Support plans are developed around the individual, helping people maintain control over their lives while working towards greater independence.
Support can include
Seen.
Heard.
Valued.
Appreciated.
Support without judgement.
NUM1 Supported Care wants every person to feel respected, understood and valued.
Whatever someone’s culture, faith, ethnicity, identity, sexuality or background, support should recognise and respect who they are.
Looking for the right support?
Every referral begins by getting to know the person, their needs and what they want to achieve.
