Your home. Your choices. The right support.
Supported living enables people to live in their own home while receiving the support they need to live as independently as possible.
Support built around the person.
Everyone’s support is tailored around their individual needs and the outcomes they want to achieve.
Support can be provided during the day and night and can adapt as a person’s needs, abilities and independence develop.
The aim is not to create dependence. We support people to develop skills, make choices and have greater control over their everyday lives.
Living in a home environment.
We support people who may be moving from residential care or the family home into their own place or a home shared with others.
NUM1 Supported Care works with housing providers to support suitable supported living arrangements.
Care and support are shaped around the individual, helping each person live with greater choice, independence and control.
Support for everyday life.
The support each person receives is based on their assessed needs, preferences and desired outcomes.

Support is onsite.

Care based on assessed needs.
Personal care can be provided where it forms part of the person’s assessed care and support plan.
Support is provided with respect for the person’s dignity, privacy, choices and preferences.
We don’t want to take over someone’s life. We want to help them live it.
Independence means different things to different people.
It may mean learning to cook, travelling more confidently, managing money, making decisions, developing relationships or taking part in education, employment and community life.
Support can change as a person’s confidence, abilities and goals develop.
Support shaped with the person.
The person is at the centre of decisions about their support.
Support is shaped with the individual and, where appropriate, their family, advocates, professionals and others who are important to them.
