Whistleblowing – Raise a Concern

It is important to speak up.

If you are worried about something happening within NUM1 Supported Care, we want you to feel able to raise your concern.

Raising a Concern

Speaking up helps protect people.

Concerns should be taken seriously. If you believe something is wrong, unsafe or not being dealt with appropriately, you should raise it so that it can be looked into.

When to Speak Up

You may want to raise a concern about something you have seen, heard or experienced.

Safety

Something may be putting a person at risk.

This could include unsafe practice, poor care or support, or a concern about someone’s wellbeing.

Conduct

Something does not feel right.

You may be concerned about behaviour, actions or practices that you believe are inappropriate or should be looked into.

Speaking Up

You believe a concern needs attention.

If you have a genuine concern, we want you to raise it rather than feel that you have to stay silent.

We Want You to Speak Up

Your concern should be heard.

Raising a genuine concern is an important way of helping to keep people safe and maintaining good standards of support.

You should never feel that you have to stay silent about a genuine concern.
